PHAROS Open Call for Short Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) - No deadline

The COST Action CA16214 "PHAROS: The multi-messenger physics and astrophysics of neutron stars" is opening a call for applications for Short Term Scientific Missions (STSMs)

 

Short Term Scientific Mission grants might support:


- Visits of scientists (students and staff) from any PHAROS full member country to any other PHAROS full member country, as well as to Near Neighbour and International affiliated institutions.
- Duration lengths from a minimum of 5 days to a maximum of 90 days. Early Career Investigators (ECI; PhD less than 8 years ago) might apply for a maximum of 180 days.
- Support can be given for up to 160 euros per day, and a maximum of 2500 euros (ECI up to 3500).
 

How to apply:
 

There are no more fixed deadlines. We have about 20keuros to distribute before October 31st, 2021. Priority will be given to students and early career researchers, and to people from ITC countries but you are all most welcome to apply! If you are able to travel on a scientific visit:

1- Fill in this form two weeks before traveling https://e-services.cost.eu/stsm .

2- Send a notification email two weeks before traveling to pharos_stsm@ice.csic.es with the following documents (in pdf format):

a) The STSM work plan (maximum 1 page) with a description of the scientific and budget justification for your visit;

b) A written agreement from the Host Institution that the STSM applicant can travel in the host country, and she/he can perform the activities detailed in the STSM work plan on the agreed dates. Please mention matching funds if applicable.

c) The applicant's Curriculum Vitae.
