  • 3-year postdoctoral position at Newcastle University. They are looking to recruit a postdoctoral research assistant/associate to the STFC-funded project "Superfluid dynamics in neutron stars". The goal of this project is to develop computational models for the small-scale dynamics of superfluids and magnetic fields inside neutron stars. The start date is flexible, but applications must be received by the closing date of 12 April 2022.   • USAL4EXCELLENCE Spain long-term contract in Astrophysics/Astroparticles, The “University of Salamanca Programme to Foster Research Excellence” (USAL4EXCELLENCE) is offering postdoc positions with possible extension to a long-term contract. The position is for 30 months. Most likely at the end of this period the candidate will be evaluated and, if the evaluation will be positive, will be promoted to long-term contract. USAL4EXCELLENCE welcomes applicants from any nationalities but they may not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the call deadline.   • Three PhD positions at the The Institute of Space Sciences (ICE,  CSIC) in Barcelona.   • Postdoctoral opportunities for female researchers at FSU Jena. The University of Jena is again announcing scholarships for female postdoctoral researchers. These scholarships may be granted for a duration of between 6 months and 2 years, depending on the type of scholarship.   • Several Post-doctoral research positions as part of the Nuclear Physics of Multi-Messenger Mergers (NP3M) Focus Research Hub in Theoretical Physics, supported by the National Science Foundation. These postdocs will be employees of either the University of Tennessee, Syracuse University, Penn State University, the University of Houston, or Indiana University but may also perform research at any one of the institutions represented by the NP3M senior investigators.   • Post-doctoral position at the Institute of Space Sciences in Barcelona to work on simulations for the Athena X-ray Observatory.  We welcome applications for a post-doctoral position on data simulations for the Athena X-ray Observatory at the Institute of Space Sciences in Barcelona (ICE), which is part of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Catalan Institute for Space Studies (IEEC). The applicant is requested to have experience in: - High energy astrophysics in general; - X-ray data analysis; - Python and related libraries. The successful candidate is expected to work actively on Athena simulations but having 30% of the time to pursue his/her own scientific interests.   • Postdoctoral position in Gravitational Wave Physics/Neutron Stars in Coimbra/Potsdam, The successful candidate will work in tight collaboration with Dr. Violetta Sagun in Coimbra on neutron star physics and with Prof. Tim Dietrich in Potsdam on numerical-relativity simulations. While the position will be primarily based at the
    University of Coimbra (Portugal), long-term stays at the University of Potsdam will be possible. A necessary requirement is a PhD degree in Physics or Astrophysics. A background in nuclear astrophysics, theoretical gravitational-wave physics, numerical relativity, and computational astrophysics is beneficial. Experience in general-relativistic numerical simulations is highly welcomed. Applications, which have to be sent electronically to Violetta Sagun (violetta.sagun[AT]uc.pt), should include a curriculum vitae, a motivation letter, copies of the MS and PhD certificates. Three recommendation letters should be sent separately to the above-mentioned e-mail. Candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.   • One PhD position and one post-doctoral (2+2) position at the Institute of Space Sciences (IEEC-CSIC), Barcelona, in the field of magnetic fields imprints on exoplanets.
